Wanted's story begins with a young orphan girl, Armelia, who works as a singer. At Governor-General Lanceman's mansion, he meets the host's nephew, Luce Lanceman, who shows her compassion, and who she falls in love with. Unfortunately, Luce is kidnapped by notorious pirates who call themselves Skulls, and Armelia swears to save him one day.

That day comes eight years later, when she joins the crew of the Skulls, dressed as a pirate boy. She is plunged into an adventure of her lifetime and realizes that Luce isn't the same man she met before.
